Typical Day

L/M: Kevin Simmons

C  Am  G  Am C

I can still re(G)member, the day it was (C) just you and me,

And I have (F) mourned, over when you (C) left me lonely.

But I can see the (G) sunshine at day.

And I can see the (C) moonlight at night.

And I’m (F) alright, I’ll do fine

Now that I’ve (C) put the past be(D)hind me.

(G) I’ve got this feeling that hides (C) deep down in my heart

Along with (F) all the trash that’s down there under (C) pressure, pressure,

That says that (G) you had to part because you (C) always acted rashly.

Now (F) all that trash inside of me is (C) off the chart.

When the (G) memories have final(C)ly faded away

A (F) day without you will be a (C) typical day.

Cause I have now (G) found my way,

And I have laid (C) down the fight,

And I’m (F) alright, I am sure,

Cause there’s a (C) fine future be(D)fore me.

(G) There’s a conviction that’s been (C) set upon my soul,

Along with (F) the vindication of our (C) laughing, laughing,

That shows that (G) I can be whole although my (C) better half’s departed.

So (F) when my life’s uncharted I’ll lay (C) down my calf.

Now I’ll (G) live my life by its (C) typical days,

That’s a (F) day without you and it’s (C) how it’s gonna (D) stay,

But I’m al(G)right, I’ll do (C) fine, now that I’ve (F) put the past be(C)hind

I’m al(G)right. I (C) will do o(F)ka(C)y. I’m al(G)right, I (C) will do ok(F)ay. (C)
